Baladino game

It's day for a stroll in Dino Park! The masters are out, accompanied by their faithful company Dino. Very quickly a competition is organized: which Dino will be the fastest to reach the park gates? All these small people start on the central alley but watch out for Billy, the park keeper, who watches out and can't bear to see the dinos too far from their master! In Baladino, players take on the role of masters who ride their pet Dino. A race is organized in the central alley of Dino Park and the first Dino to reach the end of the alley is declared the winner. Each player must manage the progress of 2 pawns: their Dino pawn AND their Master pawn. To move forward, players roll the die and move either their Dino pawn or their Master pawn. To win the game, only the Dino pawn counts and it would be logical to advance only that pawn, BUT that's where Billy, the park keeper, comes in! Billy is strict and can't stand the Dinos being too far away from their Master. When a player gets the whistle on the die, if his Dino is more than 3 squares in front of his Master pawn, he must move his Dino back to the same square as his Master. Everyone has their own technique, daring or cautious, to move forward and win the race! Average duration of a game: 15 minutes. Number of players: 2 and more (max.4). Recommended for children aged 5, 6, 7, 8 and older.
